Canada denies entry to Lebanese pop star over homophobic & sexist lyrics

We were able to confirm the following news so far:

Mohamed Eskandar did not perform in Windsor as scheduled on Aug 31 2012, and in Montreal on Sept. 1 2012. This has been directly confirmed by attendees of the events.

Mohamed Eskandar’s concert in Ottawa tonight, Sept 2 2012 has been “postponed” to an unknown date as reported by the hosting venue on their official FB page.

“Mohamed Esknadar’s initial Canadian visa application has been denied. His three concerts in Windsor, Ottawa and Montreal has been canceled.” A reliable source tells Raynbow. Expect to read more details on this soon.
Unconfirmed: El Mazaj restaurant is still trying to bring Mohamed Eskandar to sing in Canada and might be pulling some strings with some Lebanese-Canadian politicians to secure the Lebanese pop star a visa in the coming weeks.
